Nong Hong (洪农) : Can the Maritime Silk Road Ease Tensions in the South China Sea?

Nong Hong (洪农) is the executive director of the Washington-based Institute for China-America Studies and a research fellow at the National Institute for South China Sea Studies of China. Her research focuses on international law, law of the sea, ocean governance in East Asia and the South China Sea region.

On this podcast, Dr. Hong discusses China's maritime activities and the developments in Sino-American relations. During the show she discusses the developments in the South China Sea arena and the impact of the Maritime Silk Road on the tensions in that region.
