Anastasya Raditya Ležaić: A Bridge Project in Croatia Can Change China-EU Cooperation on Infrastructure

Anastasya Raditya-Ležaić is a Research Assistant in the Institute for Development and International Relations in Zagreb, Croatia. Her research focuses on bilateral relations and diplomacy between Croatia and China. Having cooperated with the Academy of International Strategy and Law at Zhejiang University, she recently wrote the chapter Croatia for the book “The Belt and Road Initiative and Its Opportunities for the Youth” to be launched in 2019. She is also involved in PEACE (Partnership of East and Central European Countries) project, where she wrote a chapter for the book "Relations with China" to be published by the National University for Public Service of Hungary.

On this podcast, Anastasya shares a unique perspective of Croatia, which has intensified its relationship with China only in 2016. She also discusses the development of the Pelješac Bridge project, which is the first tender for a project funded through EU funds that has been won by a Chinese company.
