Zhang Yaguang: Economic Outlook of China and Belt & Road in 2019

Zhang Yaguang (张亚光) is an Associate Professor and the Vice Dean at the School of Economics at Peking University and President of the Center for Foreign Economics Research at Peking University. His research focuses on connection between Chinese traditional economic thought and contemporary affairs.

On this podcast, Professor Zhang discusses the outlook of Chinese economy in 2019 and the impact of Sino-American trade disputes on the Belt and Road Initiative. He also takes on the important questions of the debt issue related to BRI projects and the problem of financing BRI projects in USD.
