  2. Stocks fell after Larry Kudlow, the director of the White House's National Economic Council, suggested that the US and China may not be able to come to a new trade deal before next month. Separately Trump ruled out a meeting with Xi before March 2nd deadline. - Read more

  3. Elon Musk – in Tesla’s recent earnings call - called it “profound” that the US electric carmaker has been given approval to build the first wholly owned foreign car plant in China, adding it was “symbolic that China wanted to have fair rules for everyone”. - Read more

  4. Huawei Technologies is asking suppliers to move some production to China as it braces for possible restrictions on access to US technology that could starve the Chinese group of components vital to its business. - Read more
