  1. COSCO shipping lines, China's largest shipping company, opened a branch in Sarajevo on Tuesday. This follows openings in Greece, Croatia and Serbia; adding to the countries that Beijing is investing in on the so-called “Maritime Silk Road" . - Read more

  2. China outlines a position on the trade war with white paper. The paper interestingly uses the US to support China’s position. And flags that America’s market discriminates against foreign companies, arguing that the US administration is not living up to its own commitments. - Read more

  3. The US announced it was imposing sanctions on the Equipment Development Department (EDD) of the Chinese Central Military Commission – and top officials that run the agency – for buying military equipment from Russia. - Read more

  4. Sinosure signs agreements with US firms for BRI construction. Under the agreement, Sinosure will provide export credit insurance for a consortium led by Citibank to facilitate US company AES to launch engineering projects in third markets cooperating with Chinese companies.  - Read more

  5. Saudi Arabia joined China Pakistan Economic Corridor project with an investment of 10 billion U.S. dollars. That represents around 15% of the total value of CPEC. - Read more
